Hi, Matthias here. Raykast is my side venture. Right now, my focus is on my full-time job, so my availability is limited. I'm always happy to connect, though.More about me

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German privacy policy.

Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below we explain which data we process when you visit this website, and on what legal basis.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Raykast IT & Consulting, Matthias Guntrum Email: hello@raykast.com

Our full postal address is in the Imprint.

2. Overview

This website is deliberately "static-first": the public pages are served as pre-generated HTML files. We use no analytics or marketing cookies, no tracking services and no external ad networks. We only process personal data to the technically necessary extent described below, and when you actively contact us.

3. Hosting (Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps)

This website is hosted with Microsoft on Azure Static Web Apps. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.

When you access the site, Microsoft, acting as our processor, processes technically necessary access data (see section 4). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Microsoft. Where data is transferred to a third country (USA), Microsoft relies on appropriate safeguards (including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

More information: Microsoft privacy statement.

4. Server log files

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically processes information in server log files that your browser transmits. These are typically:

  • IP address (usually shortened / anonymised)
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested
  • amount of data transferred and access status
  • browser type and operating system
  • referrer URL

This data is used solely for the technical provision, security and stability of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. No analysis identifying individuals takes place; the data is deleted after a short period.

5. SSL/TLS encryption

For security and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses TLS encryption (shown by "https://" in the address bar), so the data you send us cannot readily be read by third parties.

6. Contact form and email

When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The form is submitted to a serverless function (Azure Functions) within the same Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

To protect against automated spam the form contains a field invisible to you (a "honeypot"); no additional personal data is collected through it.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We store this data only for as long as needed to handle your request and delete it afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Web fonts

For a consistent appearance this website uses the "Manrope" typeface. The fonts are served locally from our own server (self-hosted). No connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is made and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.

8. Local storage in your browser

When you switch currencies (EUR/USD) in the pricing area, we store your choice in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. This storage is necessary for the function you requested, is not used for any analysis, and is not transmitted to us or third parties. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.

9. Disclosure of data

Your data is only passed to third parties where technically necessary to provide the website (see Hosting), legally required, or where you have consented. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

10. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future

An informal message to hello@raykast.com is sufficient.

11. Right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

12. Right to lodge a complaint

Without prejudice to other remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate (LfDI RLP), Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, datenschutz.rlp.de.

13. Currency and changes to this policy

This privacy policy is currently valid. As the website develops or legal requirements change, it may need to be updated. You will always find the current version on this page.
